Appointments at Coface
Cyrille Charbonnel, the former Group Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed Western Europe Region Manager, taking over from Jean-Michel Riou. He remains a member of the Executive Committee of the Group
Following this appointment:
Nicolas de Buttet becomes Group Risk Underwriting, Information and Claims Manager and takes over a part of Cyrille Charbonnel’s delegations. He reports directly to Jean-Marc Pillu, Chief Executive Officer of Coface, and integrates the Group Management Board and Executive Committee.
Christel Rougier is appointed Western Europe Region Risk Underwriting Director, taking over from Nicolas de Buttet. She reports directly to Cyrille Charbonnel.
Cyrille Charbonnel, 48 years old, graduated from the ISC business school in Paris and started his career in the Underwriting Department at Euler Hermes SFAC, where he was responsible for the metallurgical industry sector. He then joined the Commercial Department which he ran for 4 years. In 2008, he became an Executive Board Member of the Portuguese credit insurer Cosec. He joined Coface in September 2011 as Group Organisation Director and became Group Chief Operating Officer in July 2012.
Nicolas de Buttet, 40 years old, EDHEC, began his career to Crédit Lyonnais in 1997 as credit analyst. He joined Euler Hermes SFAC in 2000 as underwriter in the metal industry sector, paper-textile-chemistry sector and finally in the building and the public sector, for which he became responsible in 2005. In May 2012, he joined Coface as Western Europe Region Risk Underwriting Director.
Christel Rougier, 47 years old, INSEEC and a Master’s Degree in Finance. After first gaining experience as credit manager, Christel joined Groupama Credit Insurance in 1991 as the Underwriting Manager of several branches. In 2002 she became Underwriting Director of Natixis Factor, then, in 2006, it’s Organisation Director. Christel Rougier joined Coface late 2010 and was appointed as Group Organisation Director in July 2012.
